MINT is a two-tower condominium at the Bronte Road and Dundas Street corner in Palermo West, north Oakville. Two eight-storey buildings face each other across a landscaped courtyard, with ground-floor retail at street level.
Tell us what you need — which tower, the floor, one bedroom or two, courtyard side or the open exposure — and we will send you everything available at MINT now, plus the other Palermo West buildings worth comparing it against. Martin Group — (905) 338-2083 or [email protected].
MINT was built by New Horizon Development Group, with architecture by KNY Architects. Occupancy began in 2017 and the condominium corporation, Halton Standard Condominium Corporation 680, was registered in November of that year.
The two towers carry separate civic addresses — 2486 Old Bronte Road and 2490 Old Bronte Road — so a listing will name one or the other. Both are part of the same development. Published suite counts vary between roughly 380 and 400 across the two towers.
The exterior is an arriscraft stone base with stucco above, charcoal glazing and pilasters rising to a steep roofline — a deliberately traditional silhouette for a building of this vintage.
Layouts are one bedroom, one bedroom plus den, and two bedroom, running roughly 500 to 956 square feet. It is a building of efficient, well-proportioned suites rather than large ones, which makes it a practical entry point into Oakville and a common choice for downsizers who want to stay north of the QEW.
MINT does not have a pool, a concierge desk or guest suites. If those matter to you, say so early and we will point you at the buildings that do.
MINT runs on a geothermal ground-source heat pump system, which is why the fees are more inclusive than most. They typically cover heat, water, central air conditioning, parking, common elements and building insurance. Hydro, cable and internet are billed separately.
Some listing sites state the opposite — that heat, air conditioning and water are excluded. That is wrong for this building, and the geothermal system is the reason. Confirm the inclusions for a specific suite on the status certificate.
The manager of record is Wilson Blanchard Management, now part of Associa Ontario; the operating name may have changed, so check current contact details before you rely on them.
What a suite here is worth comes down to the tower, the floor, the exposure and the layout — not a town-wide average or an online estimate. We track what has actually closed at 2486 and 2490 Old Bronte Road. Call (905) 338-2083 and we will tell you where your suite sits.
MINT is in Palermo West, at the historic Palermo Village crossroads where Bronte Road meets Dundas. This is north Oakville above the 407 corridor, not the lakeside town — a newer, still-filling-in part of Oakville built around the Dundas Street spine.
Everyday needs are at the intersection: groceries, pharmacies, cafes and the retail at the base of the building itself. Bronte Creek Provincial Park is minutes west, and the ravine system along Bronte Creek gives the area more green edge than its newness suggests.
Oakville Transit Route 5 Dundas is the main all-day service, running the Dundas Street corridor with a stop at Dundas and Bronte and terminating at the Dundas and Highway 407 carpool lot. Route 34 Pine Glen runs weekday rush hours between Bronte GO Station and Pine Glen via Bronte Road.
The area is also inside Oakville Transit's Palermo West and Bronte Creek Ride On-Demand zone, a curb-to-curb service running weekdays that connects to Bronte GO, the Bronte 407 Park and Ride, Glen Abbey Community Centre and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
Bronte GO Station, 2104 Wyecroft Road, is the nearest GO station on the Lakeshore West line — roughly a ten-minute drive. The 407 is immediately north and the QEW is a short run south on Bronte Road.
Schools in the surrounding area include Captain R. Wilson Public School and Garth Webb Secondary School with the Halton District School Board, and St. Joan of Arc and St. John Paul II Catholic elementary schools with the Halton Catholic District School Board. North Oakville boundaries have been under active review as the area builds out, so confirm the current catchment for a specific address directly with the relevant board rather than relying on any published list.
Who manages MINT Condos? The condominium corporation is Halton Standard Condominium Corporation 680, and the manager of record is Wilson Blanchard Management, now operating under Associa Ontario. Martin Group is a real estate brokerage, not the property manager — for status certificates, rules or building operations, contact management directly. We can help with buying, selling or leasing a suite here.
Can I rent a suite at MINT Condos? Yes. MINT has an active rental component, and one and two bedroom suites are leased here regularly. Availability changes week to week, so call (905) 338-2083 and we will tell you what is on the market now.
Is MINT Condos in Westmount or Palermo West? Palermo West. Older listing entries sometimes tagged the building as Westmount or Bronte, and some consumer sites still call it West Oak Trails, but current listings and the Town of Oakville both use Palermo West for this area — the town's own on-demand transit zone is named for it.
What have suites at MINT Condos sold for? A building-wide average tells you very little when the suites run from roughly 500 to 956 square feet across two towers. We track what has actually closed at 2486 and 2490 Old Bronte Road, by layout and exposure. Call (905) 338-2083 for current numbers.
