CANADIAN MARTYRS CATHOLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

 

Canadian Martyrs Catholic Elementary School is a Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight school under the Halton Catholic District School Board. Established in 1975 and fully renovated in 1993, the school provides a nurturing Catholic environment that encourages academic excellence and personal growth. With an enrolment of approximately 380 students, Canadian Martyrs offers a faith-based education that integrates Catholic values into everyday learning.

 

Intermediate students at Canadian Martyrs have the opportunity to participate in an instrumental music program, along with various sports teams and clubs that enhance their educational experience. Additionally, the school serves as the host for Burlington’s congregated Gifted classes, providing enriched learning opportunities for exceptional students.

 

School History & Patron Saint

The school is named in honor of the eight Jesuit martyrs who sacrificed their lives between 1642 and 1649 in Huronia while spreading the Christian faith. Their dedication to their mission is commemorated annually on their feast day, September 26.
