The school opened in September 2008 and serves approximately 800 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, supported by a dedicated staff of 60 professionals. Named after Emily Carr, a renowned Canadian painter and writer whose work was inspired by the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Coast and the natural beauty of Canada.
