JANET I. MCDOUGALD PUBLIC SCHOOL
Janet I. McDougald Public School was established in 2010 following the merger of three respected institutions: Byngmount Beach Public School, Lyndwood Public School, and Neil C. Matheson Public School, as recommended by the Peel District School Board’s Accommodation Review Committee. In December 2011, the school was renamed to honor Janet McDougald, a visionary leader whose decades of service as a trustee and board chair left an indelible mark on education in Peel Region.
The school is built on a foundation of high academic expectations, inclusivity, and community partnership. We foster a nurturing environment where every student is empowered to excel, supported by dedicated educators, modern resources, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
