OAKWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOL

 

Oakwood Public School is an active and caring community with a strong focus on literacy. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment where children grow academically and socially. The supportive staff, involved parents, dedicated volunteers, and wonderful students make Oakwood a place where both education and fun are emphasized daily.

Established in 1952, was originally built to serve the growing population of the Forrester subdivision. Over the years, it has expanded to meet the community’s needs, adding classrooms and facilities. In 2018, Oakwood became a host site for the Ontario Parent-Child Centre. Today, Oakwood serves approximately 200 students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 before they continue on to W.H. Morden School and T.A. Blakelock High School.
